Manchester University and the Planners

Manchester University has a lot of clout when it comes to planning the future of the city, perhaps too much clout, when one considers their land acquisition and attempts to shut down local street traders on the Oxford Rd Corridor.
They are however hosting some public talks entitled ‘Brownbag’ Sessions with Urban Practitioners: “The sessions will observe the Chatham House rule and aim to give researchers a better insight into the often messy and politicised contexts in which public policy-makers and professionals work. All welcome – and please feel free to bring your lunch.”

It might be worth attending some of these to have a say. The full schedule can be found here: http://www.cities.manchester.ac.uk/events/brownbag_sessions/
