haha! The trick is, you have to be smarter than a hose.
this is way too hard for any body to do man
Tip: When put the white pipe in to act as a connector, pound in one side as you did, but tighten the hose clamp around it before you slide the second hose on. This way you make sure you are not just shoving most of it up the original first hose as you are sliding the second hose on.
Next time, or for anyone else reading this, you can heat up the tubing with a blowtorch when coupling the two hoses together. The connector will slide right in with much much less effort and the hose clamp will still hold the tube more than tight enough.
Awesome vid! any results on what this saved you on your heating bill?
Well, the wife is a gorgeous Paris Hilton kinda woman, the guy looks like he would be more sports than science or comedy, but he delivers all three…
This was an awesome vid – thanks!
The problem with the black poly pipe is that it’s loaded with bisphenol A,which is released when it heats up.You can absorb Bisphenol A through your skin and is particularly bad for marine life. You’re better off using a metal container with an inlet and outlet, paint it black if you want extreme heat. You may have to reinforce your car port, although.
You get very little this way. BPA is in just about everything including drinking bottles. Also lids on Starbucks coffee cups have it. The coffee is usually much hotter than shower water. Plastic bagged food also has it Also BPA is released to any inline water filtration system. Most PVC pipe also contain it. Unfortunately, it is in 95% of peoples bodies.
CU, ZN, PB, FE all leach to some degree.
Stainless steel is good but chromium, nickel can concern others.
Glass is the other good option.
Also Polypropylene may offer some options.

They both are entered as quoting the phrase however many believe neither actually used it. I chose chronological order.
Dan, I love your videos – but this one needs a tag added: “extremely funny!!!”
Keep up the good work!

I am building a 37 foot wooden sailboat and hope to use solar power for hot water ,lights etc.
would love to stay away from store bought gadgets and use as much recycled materials as possible.
any thoughts?
andy
that’s almost hot enough to cook meats!
Have you considered making a box to cover the hose? preventing the heat from bleeding off.
just make a square frame with 2×4 around the hose. Then place clear plastic sheet on top. also try putting black plastic sheet or wood on the bottom. heats goes through the clear sheet, the black sheet prevents it from reflecting back out. No air transfer due to the enclosed chamber, so no hot air can escape.
cost less than 20 bucks to do and will increase temp Alot. Let me know if you try it.
do you people know how much water and energy it takes to produce just one ounce of silicone? I can think of two ways to save the planet.
cool idea. it seems from where they are, they have so much sun during summer but in winter it would help them.
