EnviroMission, Ltd. (OTC: EVOMY, Australian Stock Exchange: EVM) is a renewable energy developer of sustainable “green” energy solutions for the energy market. EnviroMission aims to be one of Australia’s leading producers of clean renewable energy. EnviroMission holds the proprietary rights to Solar Tower technology, a large-scale renewable energy technology based on simple fundamentals of physics — hot air rises. Solar Tower technology has the potential to offer competitive renewable …

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
interesting concept
Dont know what im looking at, but looks alright.
Looks like a rather ineffective Solar mirror arry surrounded in solarpanels, and i say ineffective by the fact that your focusing mirrors are smalle placed arracticly across the tower, could be better off makeing three(atmost) giant mirrors to focus the light
You are misunderstanding the concept, those arn’t mirrors or even solar panels. Its called a solar updraft tower. Research it.
If you like this video of the solar tower, find the Discovery Channel video (Youtube will not let me post the link) on the EnviroMission’s solar tower. It is quite good. Click my alias, and you will see a list of my videos. Click the one with the hot air balloon. It is worth watching.
Actually it’s no more a concept, because one of these small-scale tower is currently running in spain.
I’ve seen several designs. There’s one in Isreal too, and one in planning stages for Australia. Remember in considering sites that access to high voltage Power Grid lines is necessary for remote generation. Let’s get of these these going where possible, however…without new high-voltage lines, which raise everyone’s bills monthly on a permanent basis.
FOCUS people FOCUS it blows my mind how an engineer can construct something that is intended to extract energy from the sun but they neglect to condition the absorber to be the color black so a good 80% of the energy that could have been absorbed is lost
they should build heaps in australia and sell to other countries
it is meant to create contrast so that you dont go blind, like i did!
This is promising.
I’m gonna try to make a hamster wheel turbine generator to power my laptop.
Coloring it black would actually be a disadvantage for these. The reason they are so effective is that it is the ground underneath the raised panels that is being heated as well, so the heat is re-radiated at night and the turbines can be spun all night from the reradiated heat.
no way hose
the absorber doesn’t need to be black,it works like a greenhouse. If the collector was black most of the heat will be lost.
That would be Israel, thank you.
If you check I think you would find that some of the guide wires on that tower rusted into and the whole thing fell some years ago.
One is about to be built at Fuente el Fresno
in spain. 750 meters high, 40MW and will save 78 tons of carbon dioxide.
!GUYS ONLY! looking to chat just got new laptop 1
